Individual Counseling/Psychotherapy

Individual Counseling/Psychotherapy

Individual psychotherapy (also known as individual therapy or counseling) is a relationship between one person and a licensed therapist with the goal of provoking change and improving the client’s quality of life.  Individual therapy is used to treat most mental disorders and resolve issues in various areas.

Therapy provides an individual with insight related to thoughts, feelings and patterns of behavior often interfering with day-to-day activities. Typically, therapy can address common issues related to symptoms of depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship problems, grief and adjusting to life changes. Treatment includes a collaborative, supportive, solution-focused approach to gaining self-awareness and behavioral change.
